This was a song written about the last 24 hours of my grandfather's life. He led a very tumultuous life that was precipitated by tragedy, heartbreak, abandonment and a number of other emotions that directed the bulk of his life. He was loved by many, disliked by some and hated by many. I was the lucky one and was the recipient of his love. This was the first relationship that showed me what unconditional love should be.
